Making the Film

With the exception of the archival footage, I shot this film in reflection of a defunct iPad. This cinematographic choice produced unique visual phenomena and allowed me to experiment with the image quality. In an age when most filmmakers are competing for the highest resolution and crispest digital representation of reality, I enjoyed the fact that by shooting digitally into another digital device (both polished by the element Cerium, a Lanthanide) I could muddy the image and find beauty in the doubling and trebling of light.
